Anonym / Friday, October 19, 2012 / Categories: 2012 Ballot Duplication Process See the attached statement from Dominion Voting that outlines the column position problem and explains why we must duplicate ballots. There are 413 affected precincts out of 842 precincts with ballots without titles that will have to be duplicated because they are misaligned with our tabulation system to ballots that have titles. Total ballots 36,485; however, we were able to capture some of these ballots, open them and replace the first page prior to mailing. Additionally, we have mailed 3,312 duplicate absentee ballots within the impacted precincts; therefore, we anticipate fewer ballots in total will have to be duplicated if 100% of these ballots are returned. To date 8,584 ballots in the 413 precincts have been returned to us. We anticipate having 10 duplicating teams on 10/22/12. In accordance with F.S. 101.68(2), the canvassing board may begin the canvassing of absentee ballots at 7 a.m. on the 15th day before the election. We will begin to open all absentee ballots that have been returned to us on 10/22/12 at 10:00 a.m. at our Service Center, 7835 Central Industrial Dr., Riviera Beach.
