Anonym / Wednesday, October 29, 2008 / Categories: 2008 Palm Beach County Canvassing Board Begins Review of Absentee Ballots West Palm Beach, Fla. - October 29, 2008 -The Palm Beach County Canvassing Board convened this morning at 10:00 am to begin reviewing Absentee Ballots for the November 4th General Election. The Canvassing Board reviewed a total of 413 Absentee Ballots today. Of the ballots reviewed, 103 ballots were rejected because they were not signed by the voter. The Board reviewed 106 ballots that contained signatures which did not match those on file. Of those 106 ballots, 78 were matched and counted while the remaining 28 were rejected. Finally, 204 of the ballots are still pending further review. The Board will reconvene tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Tabulation Center. This process will continue through the General Election on Tuesday or until all Absentee Ballots have been reviewed.
