Palm Beach County Elections Team Showcases Their Memorial Day Spirit
Elections Office Staff Challenge Each Other to Door Decorating Contest
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL – Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link recently announced the winner of the Election Office’s Memorial Day Door Decorating Contest.
Elections Office employees were encouraged to participate in the contest that promoted creativity and team-building while honoring our country’s fallen heroes.
“We wanted to honor the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country,” said Supervisor Wendy Sartory Link. “While Palm Beach County Elections Offices’ outer doors were closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day, the interior doors of our various departments were openly expressing the spirit of the federal holiday by paying tribute to our country’s fallen patriots. This year, we issued the call for our staff to participate in a door decorating contest. Kudos to employees at our Voting Equipment Service Center for taking first place!”
The week before the federal holiday, each department was equipped with basic materials to decorate their doors in the spirit of Memorial Day. Any additional supplies were the responsibility of the respective department’s team. Judged by their peers, the Voting Equipment Center won first place among the 11 participating departments, along with a free lunch.

The Memorial Day Door Decorating Contest is just one way the Palm Beach County Elections Team continues their commitment to honoring our country’s brave men and women who fought to protect our freedoms. The Elections Office’s Vote in Honor of a Veteran program, for example, shares their stories to encourage voter participation while educating voters about the sacrifices local veterans have made to preserve our right to vote.
